Tulip Festival activities
The Tulip Festival has been one of the most famous flower parks in the Netherlands since 1949! The park is located on the estate of Keukenhof Castle. From March 21 through May 12, the Keukenhof is open again daily. The perfect time to get out and discover Dutch culture. The Tulip Festival attracts more than 1 million visitors from different parts of the world every year. As many as 7 million crocuses, tulips, lilies and hyacinths are in full bloom. For a unique experience, it is definitely worth visiting the tulip fields.
Activities Tulip Festival
There are many different activities to enjoy, including taking a beautiful walk through the flower park. Did you know that you can spot a special Gerrit van der Valk Tulip at Keukenhof? You can also hop on a whisper boat and take a unique cruise along the tulip fields. An ultimate Dutch experience? After your visit to the Tulip Festival, grab your bike and take a bike ride along the tulip fields in the Flowerbulb Region.
Flower shows
In addition to these active activities, you can enjoy various flower shows. Various flower growers come together and display a wide range of beautiful flowers and plants in all colors and shapes. The flowers are, of course, of top quality. The flower shows can be found at one of the many royal pavilions in the park.
Royal pavilions
The Pavilions at Keukenhof are named after the Dutch Royal House: Orange Nassau Pavilion, Willem Alexander Pavilion, Wilhelmina Pavilion, Juliana Pavilion and the Beatrix Pavilion. So plenty of pavilions to enjoy!
Theme weekends
The Keukenhof hosts several weekends with a theme attached. These themed events are great to visit for young and old. Think for example of the Old Dutch days, the Dutch sounds with dweilorkesten and romantic classical music between the flowers. More information about the theme weekends?
